I have market stalls in Coffs Harbour and Bellingen and hopefully I will be in Port Macquarie and Laurieton in the near future. I get asked alot about when is the best time to give a dog or cat our herbal powder, so here's my tip:

Marlo's gut health powder can be used as a preventative to ensure a happy and healthy gut or you can use it during a flare up, if your pet is going through a bout of Pancreatitis, IBD or diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, acid reflux, a gurgly tummy or excessive gas, you can administer the paste for a few days until their tummy settles and they start to feel better.

Some clients have advised that they routinely give a small dose each morning with their breakfast and they find that their pet has not had any tummy issues since being on the herbal remedy. Some clients say that they give the paste once a week and they find that this manages symptoms to prevent flare ups.

Each dog or cat is individual and you work out what's best for them and what works the best. Initially, I always recommend giving it to them for one week and then adjusting it as you see fit. My other suggestion is when starting out always start at a lower dose and then work up to the recommended dosage if required.

For example, if your pet is 5kg in weight then the recommended maximum daily dose would be 10mls of paste ( the formula is 2mls of paste per kilo of body weight), however when starting out start at half this dose so instead of 10mls start at 5mls per day , do this for two or three days, see how it goes and you can always work up to 10mls if you need to.
